Corona Del Mar

The Rubin Corona del Mar project began as a reimagining of a recently purchased home and ultimately evolved into a complete new build. Working closely with the architect, we created a dramatically different vision for the property—one that feels bold, modern, and entirely personal to our clients. As our third project together, the design reflects a deep understanding of how they live and the visual language they are drawn to.

The architecture and interiors were designed around three large commissioned art pieces, allowing the artwork to become an integral part of the home rather than an afterthought. Black was brought to the forefront through strong architectural elements, finishes, and furnishings, while layered shades of blue and gray were woven throughout to reflect the client’s love of color and soften the home’s contemporary edge.

Our work encompassed the entire residence, including architectural planning, interior and exterior material selections, landscape materials, custom details, furnishings, and final styling. The result is a distinctive, art-driven home with a powerful point of view and a strong, memorable presence.
